Welcome to our unique Muslim community centre. Here, you will find a safe, friendly environment where you can attend classes and receive all kinds of advice and support as well as meeting people socially.
Through a wide range of Adult Education courses and courses for Young People, SMWA can offer something for everyone.

We've had members from many countries including Pakistan, Bangladesh, Turkey, Bosnia, Somalia, Mauritius, India, the Middle East and the Caribbean, Ireland, Hungary and of course, Great Britain
What does SMWA stand for?
The initials SMWA stand for Southwark Muslim Women's Association but don't let that put you off if your'e male! Although SMWA was originally formed to provide a safe environment for Muslim Women, that was thirty years ago, and we've come a long way since then. Boys and men are very welcome to use the centre, although women are still our main focus.
Whatever your background or faith you are welcome to join us.
